Heavenly Father,
Today, I offer supplication, prayer, and intercession,
And I give You thanks for the people of my country,
As well as for the leaders of this nation,
That we may live peaceful lives in godliness and honesty,
For this is good and pleasing in Your sight.
For the Leaders
I pray that our leaders will honor and praise You.
May they bow before You in humility
And listen to the words of Your mouth.
Let them be just and rule with the fear of the Lord.
For the People
Let the people of my country sing and worship You, O Lord.
May they bless Your name
And declare Your salvation from day to day.
I pray that the glory of the Lord will be revealed in my country,
And that all who dwell here will see it.
May we seek You and find You, O Lord.
Let the poor be delivered,
That they may build houses and dwell in them,
Plant crops and eat their harvest,
And enjoy the work of their hands.
Open the door of utterance in this nation, O Lord,
That the people may hear Your word.
Let those who walk in darkness
See the light of Your truth.
May Your light shine upon those
In the shadows of despair,
That they may be transformed
And called the children of the living God.
For Families
Lord, I pray that families in this nation
Will be blessed through Christ Jesus.
Let the children of my country be taught of You, O Lord.
Pour out Your Spirit upon our sons and daughters,
That they may prophesy, as declared in Joel 2:28.
For Healing
I pray that our nation will be healed
By the leaves from the Tree of life.
Let every covenant with death and hell be broken in our land.
Let every veil that covers this nation be destroyed.
May the blood of Jesus be sprinkled upon every city in my country,
I pray that the blind will see again,
And the deaf will hear again, in Jesus’ name.
For a New Nation
Lord, do a new thing in my country.
Let righteousness exalt this nation.
May the wealth of this land
Be brought into Your kingdom, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, be merciful unto us and bless us.
Cause Your face to shine upon us,
That Your ways may be known to us,
And Your saving power be revealed in our nation.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
